My family loves to travel and as we have become more savvy traveling with the little ones, we are more able to strategically plan our trips around choice locales. Voodoo Doughnuts in Portland, Oregon was on the radar with the onset of our latest adventure.

This is a 24-hour hot spot that attracts people of all ages. This was my first visit there and despite the colorful signage and eye-catching art work, the doughnuts & packaging were a standout for me. I also have to mention the composting letter that is prominently displayed and they are so proud of it. I would be too & you can read about their devotion to the Earth here. Featuring the infamous Maple Bacon Doughnut (see pic above of bacon cooking), Voodoo Dooughnuts serves a mixed bag of the fried yet light treat. The are delicious plain but be sure to try one of they amazing culinary concoctions decked out with whatever treats you fancy. The toppings range from marshmallows, M & M’s, and sprinkles, to icing, and cookie crumbles just to name a few.
Read their entertaining blog & hope you enjoy the pics. Oh & just in case you need to get married while enjoying your doughnut, they do that too. Not kidding.
So in this case, Eat, Drink & Get Married!
