What's In Your Basket?

Two of our family staples, fresh spinach and mozzarella, helped us to introduce massive portabello mushrooms to our children this week. We allowed them to have fun and the kitchen to get messy so that we could create a super cheesy and healthy side dish to our dinner. You can read all about it here. Vegetables make up the majority of our diet and when shopping this week, we snapped this photo below. It just so happened that our basket truly represented what we wanted our diets to. Mostly fruits and veggies. (You can see the portobellos on the left of the basket)

Our Sunday Shopping basket
It took our family a long time to get there and we still love us some burgers and fries on the rare occasion. We normally opt for veggie burgers and sweet potato fries. This is an active and difficult choice but we think that we benefit from this choice all of the time. More energy, less grocery costs and better everyday health are what we have seen since we made the full-on change about a year ago. So the question is, what is in your basket?
